BONGABON, NUEVA ECIJA: Sen. Cynthia Villar, chairman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture and Food, leads the senate inquiry on the importation of onion and garlic in Bongabon, Nueva Ecija. In the said hearing, the senator, Agriculture Secretary Proceso Alcala and the farmers’ groups agreed to give 60 percent of the importation of garlic and onion to farmer's cooperatives and 40 percent to traders.
