Sen. Cynthia Villar, chair of the Senate Committee on Agriculture and Food, assures onion farmers and stakeholders of the industry during the public hearing on the policies and practices in the importation and distribution of onion, that they are doing everything to address all their concerns. She says the Department of Agriculture has laid down policies on the importation of opinion and programs for the development of the industry. Agriculture Secretary Proceso Alcala, Senator Bongbong Marcos and Ilocos Norte Imee Marcos also attended the public hearing held at Mariano Marcos State University in Batac City, Ilocos Norte.
